People-Centred Care – AHF Europe Event

Benefits of integrated people-centred care in times of crisis 2020

PROMIS is an Italian interinstitutional regional organization that is supported by the Italian Ministry of Health and closely involved in various activities on better health, including some European initiatives. The INCASO network, launched and coordinated by PROMIS, focused on integrated care, was selected in 2018 as one of the four Thematic Networks 2019 of the European Commission. Its recommendations were presented to the European Commission in 2019.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is the largest worldwide non-profit organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to over 1.4 million people in 45 countries. Since 2010 AHF together with its partners has cared for over 100 thousand people living with HIV in Europe. As AHF Europe create and implement new programs in communities across Europe, we expand delivery of healthcare and influence over policy with the aim of saving more lives. AHF Europe is an active advocate for integrated people centered care, as this model is applied in AHF Europe’s daily work and has proven to be inclusive, cost-efficient and sustainable.

PROMIS and AHF Europe are together organizing a technical discussion among the experts on the efficiency and implementation of the integrated people centered care entitled “Benefits of integrated people centered care in times of crisis: moving towards more efficiency in European health systems”, taking place on 6th October 2020 at 15.00-16.30.

During this webinar, attended by European Commission representatives and stakeholders representing the social and care environments, chaired by the well-known Brussels communicator Ms Jacki Davis, we would like to share good practices of integrated people centered care that have been recently applied in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We also hope to be able to identify some gaps in the large-scale implementation of this type of health service.
